Benjamin William Hastings (born November 15, 1991 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a worship leader, songwriter, and producer now based in Los Angeles. Formerly a member of Hillsong United and Hillsong Worship, he has co‑written songs like “So Will I (100 Billion X)” and “Gratitude” that have amassed over a billion streams . Since launching his solo career in 2022, Hastings has released multiple albums and singles under Capitol CMG, combining his signature pastoral tone with honest lyricism.
“At the Heart of It”, released June 17, 2025, is a reflective worship ballad co‑written with Aodhán King and Ben Tan. Through intimate guitar-based verses and an earnest chorus, Hastings invites listeners to shed the distractions of life and return to the core of worship. Lines such as “Now I’m just tryna get back to the heart of it…” emphasize a longing to rediscover childlike faith and authentic surrender.
In “At the Heart of It,” Benjamin William Hastings delivers more than a song—it’s a spiritual invitation. The track gently calls believers to exchange busyness for beauty, ceremony for sincerity, and complexity for the pure joy of simply being with God.
